Dear Prospective Families, Students, and Visitors,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to our website, as you start exploring the French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS). As we approach our milestone 30th anniversary, I am thrilled to share what makes our school a leader in bilingual education and an exceptional choice for families seeking a truly global learning experience.

Since our founding in 1995, FASPS has pioneered a dynamic bilingual program that blends the best of the French and American educational systems. We nurture young minds, fostering academic excellence, cultural agility, and a deep appreciation for diversity. Today, we invite you to explore the vibrant world of FASPS and discover how our school empowers students to become engaged global citizens.

Our harmonized bilingual program helps our students develop critical thinking skills, cross-cultural understanding, and the adaptability needed to thrive in an interconnected world. At FASPS, bilingualism is a way of life that starts as early as 18 months, as our youngest students are immersed in a nurturing, stimulating environment that lays the foundation for a lifetime of curiosity and learning. Our team of highly qualified and passionate educators, recruited from diverse international backgrounds, is dedicated to inspiring and supporting each student's growth.

We are excited to expand our reach beyond Mercer Island with our additional preschool campus in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and our Seattle Permanent Home Project, which will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment for grades 4 through 8 in North Beacon Hill by the 2026-2027 school year.

Thank you for considering FASPS as a partner in your child’s education. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing in this incredible journey together.

Warmest regards,

Eric Thuau
Head Of School
