Extended Day Programs

FASPS provides a robust selection of extended day programs for our youngest to our oldest students (TYPK-Grade 8), offering both convenience and enrichment. Families can choose from:
  • Garderie: Flexible before- and after-school care
  • Enrichment classes: Specialized learning opportunities
  • Middle school activities: Age-appropriate programming
With yearlong, session-based, and drop-in options available, these programs are designed to meet the needs and demanding schedules of our school community.

Garderie  (Bébé-Grade 5)

FASPS’s Garderie Program offers before- and after-school care led by our Educational Assistants, who also support students during the school day. Morning Garderie (starting at 7:30 AM) and Afternoon Garderie (until 6:00 PM) provide structured free time with quiet activities, projects, and recess. Children in Grades 2 - 5 will work on homework for one hour after school within the Garderie program, with support from a French-speaking staff member. Aligned with Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) regulations, we maintain small, age-based groups and low student-to-adult ratios for maximum safety. Pre-registration is required, with limited drop-in availability.

Enrichment Classes (PK-Grade 5)

Our enrichment class offerings are designed to spark curiosity and joy through hands-on learning. From robotics and circuit building to capoeira, cooking, and art, our classes blend creativity, challenge, and fun—all tailored to student passions.
Class selections occur in four quarters throughout the year to better align with Athletics seasons.

Middle School 4x4 (Grades 6-8)

The middle school extended day program offers 4 engaging  options, all beginning at 4:00 PM:
  • Atelier: Structured homework support with native French-speaking staff
  • Recreation: Outdoor games and supervised social time
  • Clubs: Special interest activities led by middle school faculty or outside vendors
  • Athletics: Competitive team sports with interscholastic games
The program is designed to balance academic support, physical activity, and social development in a vibrant after-school environment.

Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) Camps and Break Camps

Throughout the school year, FASPS offers a day camp during the three parent-teacher conference days (with no school for students but Garderie available) and three one-week breaks in October, February, and April (with full-day camps from 8:30 AM  to 5:00 AM). Pre-registration is required for all programs to ensure proper staffing and planning.
