Halloween will soon be here! Before everyone heads out to purchase costumes for the big celebration on October 31st, here are a few school guidelines to keep in mind:
All Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School students may come to school in full costume on Thursday, October 31. Please remember your child will wear the costume for the entire day. For that reason, we suggest costumes that provide comfort and ease of mobility.
If students choose not to come in costu, they can wear their usual attire.
Masks cannot be worn in classrooms during the school day.
No blood on faces, body parts, or gory costumes- it is too frightening for our youngest children.
Costumes that promote racial, cultural, religious, political, ethnic, and or gender-based stereotypes are offensive to community members and are therefore not allowed.
Weapons of any kind are not permitted at school, including pretend ones.
Avoid costumes that promote violence towards others.
We hope that these guidelines will help make this Halloween a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Merci!
